| | Abstract: | Abner Royce served in Company H, 55th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and was stationed at Camp Chase, Ohio, and at camps in Virginia during the Civil War. His parents resided in Bloomville, Ohio. William D. Royce was an inspector for the Cleveland Division of the American Protective League, which in 1919 became the Loyal American League. The collection consists of descriptive rolls and letters from Abner Royce to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Royce; sketchbook of Henrietta L. Royce; papers of the Cleveland Division of the American Protective League, including a plan of organization, inspector reports, form letters and other correspondence, and handbills; miscellaneous letters, stock certificates, and other family papers. | |
